Each year, three new grantees are chosen to join the root2fruit community, and each organization selected as a root2fruit grantee recieves funding and capacity building support for three years.

Since 2003, the root2fruit program has supported the capacity building efforts of 27 diverse Evanston nonprofits with over $600,000 worth of grants and technical assistance support. Past and present grantees include:
