Grant Obligations

Congratulations on your grant! We look forward to hearing about your successes in the months ahead and ask you to let us know your good news. Please consult this list of reminders during your grant year.

Grantees' general obligations are

  • to attend grants award event in May
  • to attend grantee orientation meeting 
  • to read, sign, and return the grant agreement form
  • to announce your grant to your donors and constituents, acknowledging support of the Evanston Community Foundation
  • to continue acknowledging Foundation support in subsequent articles, press releases and/or printed program materials
  • to inform Foundation staff of significant changes to the proposed project, its timing, budget, etc., or changes to your organization's status and staffing (circumstances can change, but we need to know--directly from you and in a timely manner)
  • to expend funds as approved by the Foundation; seek approval to make changes

Grantee reporting requirements

To assist the Foundation in meeting its reporting and evaluation requirements, grantees will

  • submit an interim narrative report no later than December 1 for timely issuance of the second grant payment prior to December 31
  • include press clippings, releases, etc. with each written report
  • schedule site visit with appropriate activities from Grants Committee representatives
  • submit a final report (narrative and budget) no later than July 31.  You may download our Final Grant Report form here
