The Evanston Community Foundation builds endowed and other funds that work for our community now and for years to come. We connect people who care with causes that matter. Gifts build the funds from which our grants are made, help us convene discussions of community concerns, provide organizational development assistance to area non-profits, connect organizations and individuals, and promote philanthropy to serve our community.

Our funds serve growing numbers of Evanston and North Shore individuals who pool their gifts to help meet large local needs. We also hold funds for non-profit organizations, and we can assist donors in realizing individual charitable goals.

The Foundation has an impressive track record of strong financial performance. Conservative policies, disciplined practices, and experienced personnel of the Foundation’s Investment Committee are the basis of our successes. An impressive roster of individuals having lengthy tenure with the Foundation is guided by a Foundation investment policy with clear objectives. Our grants history speaks to our commitment to the broadest range of community needs.

Depending on the size of your gift, you may contribute to an existing fund, create a named fund within an existing fund, or create a new fund to meet charitable objectives that you define.

Since 1986, we have helped Evanston by raising awareness of community challenges, creating endowment funds to meet future community needs, and making grants to support current community projects.
