Conflict of Interest Policy

The Evanston Community Foundation strives to maintain the highest ethical standards in all of its policies, procedures and programs. To ensure that these standards are clearly stated and applied, the board adopted a Conflict of Interest policy in September 2003.

Under this policy, all directors and officers of the board, as well as committee members and employees, are required to disclose business affiliations, employment or financial interests, and charitable and civic interests on an annual basis. In cases of actual or apparent conflicts of interest, an affected individual no longer will participate in any impacted transaction or arrangement. In cases where an individual fails to disclose a conflict of interest, the Foundation will take appropriate corrective and disciplinary action.
